The NOTTINGHAM GHOST WALK

Welcome, fellow spirit, and join us, as we reveal the ghostly secrets of this ancient city of Nottingham! In the shadows of the Castle, in a graveyard, and underground in ancient sandstone caves, we weave our web of haunting tales. Rich and poor, noble and treacherous, young and old, Nottingham’s ghosts all await you (quite literally – there have been many ghostly sightings on our tours). Ghostly screams, gory executions, haunting history, they are all grist to our ghoulish mill. Our excellent ‘street-theatre’ has been chilling the spines of visitors and locals alike since 1993, and both guests, and ghosts, continue to be evermore enchanted. STARTS: At The Salutation Inn, Maid Marian Way, Nottingham NG1 6AJ (note - this is NOT our contact address!). This is easy to find - it is close to Nottingham Castle, which is signposted on major routes into the City. There are 3 multi-storey car parks within a few minutes walk, or street parking all around, if you can find a space! (street parking now payable to 8pm, 7 days).

TIME: 7.00pm every Saturday - All Year, except December (last Ghost Walk for 2012 will be Sat 1st Dec).

ENDS: in haunted caves beneath The Salutation Inn!

DURATION: About 1 hr 15 mins to 1 hr 30 mins (total distance walked - about ¾ mile). For cave access, space is restricted, so we have to split larger groups. You may therefore be asked to wait for a short time while our Guide takes the other group down the caves, which will therefore take a bit longer.

COST: £5 adults - £3 children (under 12).
Family ticket: 2 adults & 2 children - £13 total.
(Broadly suitable for children of 9 or 10 yrs and above).

BOOKING: no booking - just turn up on the night.  
Exception: Halloween is always Booking Only.

DISABLED ACCESS: most of the route is accessible for wheelchairs, except the caves for the last 15 minutes or so of the tour. Please note there are no disabled toilet facilities at The Salutation - nearest facilities are at Greyhound Street, just off the Market Square, about 7-8 minutes walk away.
