Thousands of photos have been taken on the Nottingham Ghost Walk over the many years we have been going. Many of them show strange lights and shapes, often called ‘orbs’, that some consider of paranormal origin. If you have any photos taken on The Nottingham Ghost Walk (or anywhere else!), showing some ‘ghostly’ effect, we would love to see them! (Note - our Books contain some astounding photos of ghostly figures, not ‘orbs’).

PHOTOS

This photo with several orbs was taken by Lorraine Palethorpe on the ghost walk of Sat 31st January 2009.

We were sent the photo below, which was taken on a mobile phone in 2008 at a party. The faces have been blanked out to preserve anonymity. The ladies in the photo were amazed to see an extra ghostly image on the shot of a small child’s face - look between the 2nd and 3rd person from the left at knee height where I have put a circle (it might help to increase the zoom on your screen to make the image bigger - the face is perfectly clear on the original but may be less clear in this web-page reproduction). We have no reason to suspect this photo has been forged in any way and certainly this kind of ‘spirit extra’ image is typical of ones you will find published in books about psychic phenomena.

This next photo (below) was taken by Vicky Holsworth in the caves at The Salutation Inn on the ghost walk of 13th Feb 2010 (seems Feb 2010 was quite an ‘active’ month!). Notice the mist around the thrall area (the raised seat) which was not visible to the eye at the time.

These two photos were taken by Alex Collins on the ghost walk of 20th Feb 2010. The first one shows a typical ‘orb’ (I have put an arrow against it) with the second one showing a smoke-like effect, which was definitely not cigarette smoke or breath mist. These photos were taken within seconds of each other.

The photo below, showing two ghost-like figures on the pavement, was taken by professional photographer Neil Lancashire (www.neil-lancashire.co.uk) close to where we live in Annesley Woodhouse, in 1970. Neil Lancashire stakes his professional reputation on this not being a fake or a developing error - read his own account of the photo here. This photo reminds us of some of the amazing ‘ghost photos’ in our own Books.
